Pale straw. The bouquet of this elegant yet powerful Chardonnay displays fresh pears, beeswax, citrus and white nectarine fruits with underlying hints of oatmeal, nougat and roasted almonds. Full bodied packed with pears, white fleshed stone fruits and zesty lemony / grapefruit flavours. There is a lovely complexity with a creamy texture derived from lees stiring and mealy characters in the background; the taught mineral structure, intense fruit and bright acidity combine to focus the wine perfectly with a lovely lingering fruit finish.

“A measured, restrained and delightfully flavoured young chardonnay whose lightly floral aromas of fresh peach, melon and grapefruit are backed by hints of spices and dusty, nutty and vanilla oak. Long, smooth and even, the palate is gently oaked and bursts with spicy and pristine fruit. It has a charmingly fluffy texture and finishes with soft, refreshing acids.”  – 90 points, Jeremy Oliver, 2008

“A spicy and mineral-suffused nose of green fruit and rose petal is trimmed in enough wood that it vacillates between more than subtle and less than intrusive. The big, rich, powerful and mineral-driven flavors have already eaten the wood though and the length here is so impressive that it is easily the most persistent wine in the entire range. A knock-out with superb cellaring potential.” - 92-95 points, Burghound

Minerality, elegance and power make a typical wine of its appellation. It is located in a windy valley which gives it its acidity. Crystal clear and brilliant golden green color, with silvery grey highlights. On the nose, spicy notes and citrus aromas. On the palate, a supple attack with very refresh lemony notes. A beautiful minerality expressed by salty flavors. Wine in sharpness with a warm and delicious finish. Delicious with fish in creamy sauce, grilles fish, Burghound cheeses such as Epoisses, Soumaintrain.

Pale straw. Displays fresh primary fruit characters. White fleshed stone fruits, pear and citrus, combine with restrained, complex yeast notes and hints of toasty oak in the background.

“There’s an intense peach and butterscotch character on the nose with notes of lemon curd and honeysuckle plus a touch of ginger nut. Medium bodied with crisp acid and great concentration, it has a long finish.” – 92 points, Robert Parker

“Single vineyard Chardonnay with pure mineral and slightly floral flavours that show a seasoning of oak and brioche character. Weighty wine supported by a solid core of tannins and acidity. Gutsy Chardonnay that's best with food.” – 87 points, Bob Campbell, 2008
