|Grape Variety||Merlot, Blaufrankisch, Zweigelt|
|Media Score||Falstaff Magazine-95|
Dark, opaque ruby-garnet hue. The nose is complex with scents of graphite, dark berries, liquorice, cherry and rosemary as well as tobacco with some herbs. The palate is compact, juicy and multi-layered with notes of dark berries, bitter chocolate and pronounced tannins. Lengthy and full of ageing potential.
According to Robert Parker, Heinrich produces "...some of Austria's most celebrated red wines." Produced by hand, from low yielding vineyards in Austria's warmer south, these are expressive and interesting red wines. In 2001 Heinrich was named "Winemaker of the Year" by Austria´s leading wine magazine, Falstaff.
